Eighty-Sixed - A serial time-travel adventure
When a massive man-made wormhole propels the entire earth’s population back to 1986, everyone under forty years of age is snuffed from existence.
Those remaining retain all their memories of everything that happened prior — children born, loves lost, and deaths still to come.
Even more unsettling, everyone who had died after 1986 is somehow mysteriously alive again.
Freddie Mercury awakes mid-performance in Wimbley Stadium with Queen. Ronald Reagan is on the phone with Mikhail Gorbachev. Johnny Carson is starring at cue cards in the middle of a monologue on live television.
Combining the quirky humor and technology of Andy Weir’s The Martian with the pop culture sensibilities and nostalgia of Ernest Cline’s Ready Player One, along with the exploration of regret, hope, forgiveness, and acceptance, Eighty-Sixed is a unique twist on the time-travel genre as it chronicles astrophysicist Becca Watts’ quest to use now antiquated 1986 technology to recreate the black hole she caused before the entire world is trapped in this skewed new version of 1986 forever.

This story has been brewing for over twenty years and has been written, rewritten, and written again, but has never been publicly shared in its entirety. Once Eighty-Sixed has run its course, I’d very much like to share this work that is near and dear to me.
